Taking the "ME" out of Miami

Because my husband is a Sr. High pastor, the summer always brings lots of travel our way. Park and I love the adventure of it all and feel fortunate that we can tag along for the ride. Camps and mission trips always bring about such life change and we love the opportunity to expose Park at such a young age.

This year's mission trip was to help our church's Miami satellite campus. Chris and I decided to stay over a few extra days and make a family vacation out of it, as well. The trip was amazing, but I think one of the things I loved most about it was the Sunday service.

There is obviously a strong Latin heritage in Miami, and seeing this flavour reflected in the worship was beautiful. People of all different backgrounds were giving glory to Jesus, while praising in their own personal style and voice. There are so many more people out there to reach, but just for that moment, I got a glimpse of all God is already doing in that city. I can't wait to visit again.

Below are some pics from the vacation portion of the trip. Park is still talking about "ME-ami BEACH!".

Hi Brittani- I noticed that you go to Fellowship in Dallas. My friend Kelcey used to work there in the church office as a pastor's secretary up till a few months ago. I went to visit her a few times and I enjoyed going to church with her. Have a wonderful day!

Welcome to blogland. I have done a quick catch up what insight and blessings you will bring. By the way what adorable men you have in your life. I am a mom to 4 boys.

Brittani! Hi, sweet friend! Look at this- I move half-way across the country, and you and I are going to be able to keep in touch better than ever before! Craziness!

It was so fun to read through all of your posts. I'm so glad that y'all got to make a vacation out of the mission trip, and got to take beautiful Park to the beach. How fun; I can't wait to take Landon when he's a little bit bigger. Well, older. He's already pretty big, huh?

Anyway, how fun to have you in the blog world. I have to admit that I'm not a very active participant, but I'm going to be basically a stay-at-home mom this year, so maybe I'll do a better job keeping our site updated than I have in the past.

Ladon and I are coming out for a visit in a few weeks. I'd love to see you! Hope you're doing well.

Love,
Les
