Ladies and Gentlemen, (in other words, Ladies and Chris & My Dad,)
May I have your attention, please? We interrupt this blog to bring you some breaking news from the house of Holding Little Hands.
PARK POOPIED IN THE POTTY!!!!
In other news, he also scaled a shelf in his room to confiscate a tube of A&D ointment and sucked it down like there was no tomorrow. Evidently, using the potty makes you really thirsty for some good diaper cream. After completing the crime, he screamed out, "Mommy, I did a very bad thing!"
And judging from the giggles that followed that statement, his remorse was overwhelming.
But, excluding a tummy ache and awful breath there should be no other side effects, according to my new best friends at poison control.
And just in case you were wondering, when red sharpie is used to color an entire computer screen monitor, it can be removed with wet wipes, a lot of elbow grease, and much prayer. However, it did give new meaning to the term "seeing red."
So, after contemplating the appropriate punishment for the creatively displayed artwork, I grounded Chris from email for a week.

You sure do have your hands full! Congrats on the potty news - I never knew poop could become so exciting. It's something only us fellow parents will ever understand!
Poo-poo in the potty is ALWAYS huge news. Congratulations.
Maybe the diaper cream will help him produce a repeat performance?
Ohh, Brittani. You make me laugh soo hard!!! I absolutely love your posts! Park sounds like an adorable, lovable handful. And hey, at least he knew he had done,"a very bad thing:)" Judy
Alright I'm so jealous!! Being a mom to twins that yes are pushing 3 and a 1/2, potty training has consumed our weekends since Spring Break last year. During summer I thought we were close, but poopy has never been mastered. Then daycare came and it all went completely down hill. Now I debate on if they will go to high school with a diaper bag. I hope this means more success for you.
Sharpies are like magnets to toddlers, aren't they?
Congratulations on the potty- that is BIG news.
Oh my! Sharpi on the computer and A&D in the belly. That really sounds like a rough day. It's a good thing he pooped in the potty to kinda make up for it :) I'm really not looking forward to the potty training thing again :(
Love this! What fun memories...I'm so glad you've made friends with poison control. I have been so close to having to give them a friendly call myself. Not Fun! I'm glad Park is in the "Club!"
No! You can't punish Chrisy for Park's not so cuteness. lol! Oh no Haley is going to be so disappointed you didn't invite her over for the "surprise"!
Sooo funny. But, I must say that though stories of your little guy make me laugh, they do make me fear just a bit what my little guy is going to start doing or not doing soon.
Oh, goodness. I have one of those too. Captain Destructo. Good luck...you'll need it!
Uh, oh...is this what I have to look forward to after 3 girls?! We have recently entered the world of "boys" with #4. Your stories make me laugh! Thanks for sharing! Congrats on the potty training! Gotta hate those Sharpies! :)
okay, speaking of the potty, i thought you might want to stop by and see how my littlest felt about his first try at pull;-ups this morning!

That's huge! Celebratory breakfast at Chick-fil-a soon?
And the A & D...wow.

Where do I START? Little wiseman is 2 1/2 and not even really interested. He doesn't even get excited about any incentives and really doesn't want to sit on the potty other than trying to avoid nap time. I told him until he was big enough to tell me OTHER than nap time he had to go potty that he cannot go potty during his nap.
*sigh* I want this to be over.
